The Millionaire’s Habits

One of my most favorite verse in the bible is Mark 11:24 and it says; “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Some people miss the middle part believe that you have received it. I am not here to debate whether law of attraction works. I am here to point out the principle of praying, asking or wishing, or whatever you may want to call it.

One of the principle that has worked over the years is acting as if. In my book 21-day-project, I have stressed out that you have to match your habits with the lifestyle that you desire. The whole concept is as simple as this; if you want to be a singer, you’d most likely learn tips from a singer. If you want to be fit, you’d most likely go to a gym and follow your gym instructor. In the same way, if you want to be a millionaire, I suggest you observe all the multi-millionaire that you know. Discover their habits and characters. So, what are the millionaire’s habits?

1. Health conscious. This is what I’ve noticed to most people who are highly successful. They just don’t eat anything. They watch what they eat carefully. You may say it’s being health freak, but I call it health investment. If you are a multi-millionaire, the first thing you would do is to really watch for your health. Otherwise, you’d never really enjoy being wealthy if you aren’t healthy.

My boss right now who’s into vegetable juices, herbal vitamins and some new invented health device to keep him healthy. You might think it’s weird but I think I would have done the same if I were in his shoes. The youngest multi-millionaire I know was my sister-in-law. She barely eats a full meal. Her diet consists of water, most of the time with lemon or cucumber in it, fruits and some raw vegetables. I’ve noticed her having a lot of sliced fruits in a container and she simply has it all over the place. To her clinic, living room, even on her car. She doesn’t have a regular time eating but these healthy foods serve as her snack.

Result? At her age now, she doesn’t have any maintenance medicine. A wise man once said; “Eat your food like a medicine so you wouldn’t have to eat your medicine as your food.” Makes a lot of sense.

2. Investment. This is one of the habit that all millionaires have. They all have investment especially in real estate. They also have insurance. A lot of people think that they will invest in real estate once they have enough money. This is how a lot of people has been twisted when it comes to wealth. They think that wealth will help them become more. The thing is, you have to become more first before you gain any wealth.

For example, you can’t possibly say that you will invest in real estate once you have the lump sum of money from your retirement, or when you get the promotion, or maybe when you win in the lottery. If this is your thinking, then let me bring you the bad news, it will just never happen. I’ve mention in the post about matching your habits to the lifestyle that you desire. It’s the same thing with investment. If you want to invest, you don’t wait before the fortune favors you. You have to start investing to attract your own fortune. The earlier you start, the better.

3. Workaholic. There are two types of millionaires. The one who stay up very late, or the one who wakes up very early. They like to do their jobs when everyone is still sleeping. They work during the quietest time of the day. As much as possible, they do things themselves and don’t ask anyone to do the things for them. They love being busy and thinking of new ideas. Their mind doesn’t stop from creative thinking.

4. Plan silently.  They have ambitious, huge, and concise plan on improving every day but they keep quiet about it. They don’t usually tell their plans. They just show you. That’s why most of the millionaire are so good at minding their own business. They don’t really care about the latest gossips. They don’t entertain distraction as they plan silently for the next big thing.

5. Private.  Millionaires are the most private people. They aren’t really fond of social media. The only way that you would get top know them is when you are close to them. They don’t really post updates on what they do and whereabouts. They value their privacy. This is one of things that separates them from the masses. While the regular people are busy updating their social media and winning likes, the millionaires are busier winning in real life. And they always do.

6. Travel. The very first time I’ve travelled alone in a different country, that’s the first time I’ve seen people who were travelling alone too. Some of them are highly successful business men and they were there not only there to travel but to give time for themselves to ponder on self-discovery. Some of them are even married men, but they travel alone just to have a quiet time for themselves.
7. Charity works. They may be quiet and private but no one can question them when it comes to generosity. They support a lot of projects too that do charity works for the less fortunate. Maybe the quote it is in giving that we receive works perfectly for them. However, be careful when giving. You’re sharing out of compassion, not in the hope that it will be returned to you in folds. Do not be generous too for the sake of honoring yourself. As the bible say, when you do a generous act and announce it, then you have received your rewards in full. -M.D.

What the Elites Don’t Want You to Know

‘You are the author of your life.’ I’m sure you have heard this a thousand times before as this cliché has been said by a lot of great speakers to motivate their audience. But somehow, you most likely believe that some lives are authored by bloodline especially for people who are born with a silver spoon in the mouth. And you know that the quote ‘ You are the author of your life ’ is only applicable to regular people so that they couldn’t blame anyone for the poverty and scarcity they experience. -The Trap- Now let me tell you some truths that might shock the very core of you. The things that the world and the media has led you to believe are façade and lies to stop you from being free from the trap. And when I say trap, I mean that 9-5 job you’ve signed for. Trap is the routine that you do, an endless cycle of going to work, receiving your paycheck monthly, that’s not even enough to cover all the dues. Trap is also the miserable and dangerous world that you believe you are ...

A Gem Not Far From a Crowded City

Is your dream house unaffordable? Try looking for it in Fergus.   Fergus is the largest community in Centre Wellington, a township within Wellington County in Ontario and it is just a bit over one hour drive from Mississauga and Toronto. It lies on the Grand River about 18 km NNW of Guelph. The population of this community at the time of the 2016 Census was 20,767, but the community is growing as new homes are being built for sale. Fergus became an independent town until 1999 when the Township was formed by amalgamating Fergus, the Village of Elora, Ontario and the Townships of Nichol, Pilkington, West Garafraxa and a part of Eramosa. Fergus is has a number of natural settings such as the Elora Gorge and Conservation Area, and Belwood Lake. It is a mostly residential community filled with streets lined with trees, many stone buildings, modern schools, and many parklands suitable for recreation and picnics. It is laid out on a rectangular grid, with the Grand R...

Three Things Every Businessman Must Have

Maybe you are curious what it takes to be a successful businessman. Truth is, the things that I had learned more from them by merely observing them is twice as much than what I learned from the entire time I sat on my business management class from college. Here are the three things I believe that every successful businessman should have regardless of the field or business industry you are in.  1. Consistent Energy. In anything, consistency is always the name of the game. In business, consistency of the energy is one deciding factor whether the business will prosper or not. What is very consistent with all the successful people is the fire, the drive, and the passion. They just don’t let the vibe die. I guess enthusiasm is the word.  If you are not as enthusiastic and excited as before, your clients/customers would actually feel it. Whether you believe it or not, everything is made up of energy. Even your place of business has a vibe itself. I can still remember when...
