Benefits of Great Networking

“No man is an island” is one of the best quote that actually summarize how is it like to be a successful businessman. Your business basically depends on your good relationship with your workforce, suppliers, consumers even your competitors. Networking is indeed important to any business regardless of the kind of industry. Here are some benefits of a great networking.

1. Referrals. Networking means connecting and interacting with people which leads to good relationship that leads to referrals which means money. That’s why it is very important to have a good relationship to everyone especially for businessmen. Having rifts and unresolved conflicts with people can only narrow your world in business world. Expanding your network means taking care of your reputation. People in the same line of products or service as you have in a network is something that you cannot avoid. Sometimes, your edge is not your brand. People would most likely to recommend or refer someone whom they have in good terms with.

2. Potential Clients. The easiest way to find for potential clients is having a wide networking. It’s also possible to upgrade your marketing from business to consumer to business to business marketing approach. It is also important to treat everyone in the group like your customer because they are your potential clients.

3. Learning for free. Hanging out with business persons, especially the experienced ones are one of the many ways to learn from them. If you are just starting your business then it’s best to observe, ask questions and learn from old entrepreneurs. You can also exchange ideas with them and try their approach that you think may work in your business.

4. Good Exposure. Being in networking is also a good exposure to you and the business. It’s not only enhancing your interpersonal skills, it also a great way to market your business. It is also a great opportunity for you to bring your business to a wide variety of people and business. Social media is also a good exposure but there is truly nothing compared to getting personal interaction with real people who can really help you grow your business. It’s true that engaging your business product or service in social media is easy but it is also easy to forget due to high competition. And besides, real successful business men who may help you book big projects cannot be found in this social media sites. They are in real action and interacting in networking events.

5. Social Life.  Hanging out with people with business people like you is the same as surrounding yourself with people who inspire you. Creating an environment with people who have the same level of goals as you just keep you focused to your own goals. It is also a good way to keep inspired and motivated. There’s really nothing wrong with being friends with people who aren’t really as inspired as you but you have to keep in mind that energy is transferrable and as a young aspiring businessman, you have to stay positive and keep the same level of enthusiasm. Surrounding yourself with people who are not really goal oriented is discouraging and sometimes, it causes the loss of enthusiasm. It’s best to create a social life that is active with business minded people like you who will help one another to grow.

‘You are the author of your life.’ I’m sure you have heard this a thousand times before as this cliché has been said by a lot of great speakers to motivate their audience. But somehow, you most likely believe that some lives are authored by bloodline especially for people who are born with a silver spoon in the mouth. And you know that the quote ‘ You are the author of your life ’ is only applicable to regular people so that they couldn’t blame anyone for the poverty and scarcity they experience. -The Trap- Now let me tell you some truths that might shock the very core of you. The things that the world and the media has led you to believe are façade and lies to stop you from being free from the trap. And when I say trap, I mean that 9-5 job you’ve signed for. Trap is the routine that you do, an endless cycle of going to work, receiving your paycheck monthly, that’s not even enough to cover all the dues. Trap is also the miserable and dangerous world that you believe you are ...

How to be a Millionaire Salesman

Being a salesperson is something that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s not very easy to be a sales man but if you are going to think about it, each of us is a sales person at some degree. Whenever we deal with other people, talk to people, convince people, win approval, these are all selling in different forms. We sell ourselves the way we present ourselves on a daily basis.  Brian Tracy has once said that if you are in the field of sales, you are already one step closer to the way to wealth. You have the biggest chance to be a millionaire among all the other people who work in different fields once you are a sales person. So, what does it really take to be a millionaire salesman? 1. Prestige. There’s a quote that says that we are not defined by our clothes or physical appearance but we define ourselves. There might be some truths in that but sadly, it is not very applicable when you’re a salesperson. The thing is, it’s hard to project something when the energy th...

The Right Business Goal

When talking about business goal, the first idea that will come to your mind is achieving the maximum sales. Well, there’s really nothing wrong with knowing the business’ full potentials. However, I don’t think that this is the right business goal. Truth is this kind of business goal often lead to poor sales. People nowadays refuse to spend on anything unless it could really give them great value. Sadly, we live in a world today where the only time to catch people’s interest is if it’s something that would benefit them more than it benefits others.  Two years ago, I was giving a motivational talk to people from different walks of life and I opened up about my project of helping one specific community in one village where illiteracy rate was a little bit higher compared to normal places. I told them that whoever wanted to be part of the project could stay in the room after the event. To my surprise, the room was still full of people after the program. I was surprised that every...
